MY LINKS
I offer the links below as sites which I
have enjoyed visiting or have bookmarked.
These links are only valid at the time of
publication. Please report any links which fail as I do not
personally followed these hyperlinks on a regular basis!
Architecture - General
- Digital
Atlas of England Dr
Digi's's ongoing project to photograph all of England's
Buildings, and yes I said all!
- Great Buildings online This site seems to be an odd collection of
pages, with a bias to the REALLY famous (Notre Dame de
Paris) and modern architecture. Not each building is
illustrated but has some useful references etc.
- Images of England Project begun in 1999 with the aim to have
a photograph on-line of every listed building in England.
T
- Looking at Buildings Launched in 2001, this is the latest
venture from the Pevsner Architectural guides, and an expanding
guide to understanding and exploring the build
environment. The site contains hundreds of illustrations,
interactives and reference resources for all enthusiasts.
- World
Architecture Catalogue A
large database of buildings around the world, much in
German, but can be searched in English too! Not every
building is illustrated yet and there are many places yet
to be added. Found an interesting picture of the
cathedral in Ascuncion, Paraguay on file though!

UK County Sites
Of varied content and completeness,
sometimes one picture per church, sometimes a full history and
multiple pictures. The GENUKI Yorkshire sites of Colin Hinson are
particularly interesting and include medieval churches, small
Victorian ones in rural areas, and a whole host of chapels and
Catholic churches throughout Yorkshire. Simon's Suffolk Churches
is a personal review of visits to each church, now he has
extended his coverage to Norfolk too.
Not every county is included as some have
no useful all-inclusive site. Over the years there have also been
some major losses of great sites. However Steve Bulman's site (The
Churches of Britain and Ireland)
goes from strength to strength with a vast collection of
photographs, organised by county / unitary authority.
Other Church Interest Sites
There are also some other links to
sites of interest from ChurchCrawler's "Astonishing Cathedrals" Series.
Bristol Interests
- Photo-tours of the City of Bristol Several tours of the City Centre, Clifton

marvellous site is the work of Dave Stiles and his good
lady.
- The
Bristol Index THE main
reference point for information on the city, Business,
Community Groups, Individual's Home Pages etc etc.
Expanding all the time. Another Dave Stiles venture.
- Bristol
